Dual Camera Legal Deposition: Legal Video Production Company, Fair Lawn, NJ

-

deposition exampleVideo brought to you by: http://www.clvsllc.com

In this segment I explain and demonstrate a two camera shoot that is proper for a legal deposition. Some attorneys have asked about two camera shoots. They feel that it might be more engaging.

As I explain in this video, it is forbidden to alter or edit a legal deposition. You can show clips of a deposition but you cannot introduce bias into the video by cutting and editing two or more cameras. If more than one camera is used the video and audio feeds must be mixed live and displayed on the screen.

In this example both cameras are labeled and there is a time/date stamp clearly visible on screen. It would be permissible to have one camera zooming on documents or exhibits held by the deponent or have one camera fixed on the deposing attorney. In the latter case, employment of the second camera may be useful for training purposes.

We are Located in Fair Lawn, NJ, 07410, in Bergen County near New York City. We are available for all aspects of legal video production.

Deposition Preparation Online with Deposition Testimony: 5 Simple Rules

-

deposition questionsDeposition preparation online is here with Deposition Testimony: 5 Simple Rules. My name is Zach and I’m a lawyer just like you. Here’s a problem we’ve all experienced – you spend hours, days, sometimes even weeks preparing your client to testify in a deposition. You give all the sound advice – don’t volunteer, don’t speculate, limit your answers just to the questions asked. The client looks at you and says, “I got it, I’m ready.” Five minutes into the deposition your client is volunteering, speculating, and the deposition is beginning to go off the rails. This has happened to all of us and it’s not because we didn’t do a great job preparing our witnesses. The solution is here. Now I had never used a video before to help me prepare my witnesses to testify and frankly I would have been skeptical of any suggestion that I do so because I did a great job just like you do preparing witnesses. But at one point in my career we were actually required to use one and frankly I was amazed! The difference between a witness who had seen this video that showed a witness doing it wrong and getting in trouble, and then a witness doing it right, made all the difference in the world. Once the witness saw that, they got it. But there were a few problems with this old video – it was old and dated. I was almost embarrassed to show it to the client because of the content, but it was also available only on DVD. What we did is we created a system that solved all of these problems and more. We brought it completely up to date, made it completely modern, but we also married it with the latest technologies. So now when I want a witness to watch the video as part of my preparing them to testify, all I need to do is send them a link and a password, and they can watch it wherever they are and whenever they have time. They can view it on their desktop at home, on their laptop on the go, or even on their smart phone or iPad! It’s just that simple.

So you may be wondering, who am I and why should you listen to me? Well I have many years experience as a practicing litigator. I worked at Davis, Polk, and Wardwell, one of the country’s largest law firms. I also was an in-house litigator at NBC/Universal. But I didn’t develop this system entirely on my own. I had feedback from some of my mentors who collectively have decades of experience preparing witnesses to testify in depositions. This system is already in use around the country and receiving rave reviews. You don’t need to take it from me. If you look at our website you’ll see what the experts are saying through testimonials. You’ll also see a list of law firms and companies ranging from some of the largest law firms in the country to solo practitioners. 100% guaranteed. This is a no-brainer. We’ve taken away all the risk. Try our system for your next deposition. If you’re not amazed at the results, if your clients don’t do a great job in their deposition, just let us know and you’ll get your money back – no hassles, no questions asked. Your clients will love you for it – guaranteed.

This video will get you up-to-speed on the system we’ve created give you the perfect witness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOCe9tbo_QI
